Formative Assessment
Causes of the Civil War Quiz: This fun and engaging quiz utilizes the quiz-making tool Kahoot!. This tool allows students to answer multiple choice questions in real time, question by question, together as a class. The tool is designed to feel like a game show or competition. It grants students points based upon the speed and correctness of their answer and displays a leaderboard after each question. The quiz formatively assesses entry-level knowledge about the causes of the Civil War and makes sure that students are familiar with the basic facts and order of events that led up to the war.

2. As a class, students will take the quiz one question at a time, entering answers via their device.
